FROZEN PRODUCTS
COOKED Sand Crabs, Mud Crabs, Bugs and Prawns
After you have purchased your frozen product from Raptis Fish
Market, store this product between -15°C and -18°C or a maximum of 3 months.
Please note:- We do not advise you to refreeze your products once thawed.
- Remove product from freezer the night before
you wish to consume the product. Cut top off bag and place in fridge to
thaw overnight.
- The following morning, taste
the product and if you are satisfied with the flavour, place in bowl or
container with ice (ensure the product is not sitting in its own juices)
and cover with a cold camp tea tower or similar. To avoid product
deterioration replenish ice every 4 hours. We advise consumption within 24
hours.
o increase the flavour of your cooked prawns complete step 1 then proceed
to step 3.
- Place your cooked product in a
bowl of cold ice water and add rock or sea salt (Don't use iodised
salt/table salt). Approximately 300g salt to 1kg cooked product. Leave the
product for 30 mins minimum. Please note:- the longer you leave the
product the stronger the flavour, check product after 30 mins and if you
are satisfied drain and complete step 2.
